(On the introduction of new rules for calculating the terms of delivery of goods by rail)
(The rules were registered with the Ministry of justice of Russia on October 8, 1998, registration number 1633. The rules come into force on October 31, 1998.)

Rules for calculating the delivery time of goods by rail

(As amended by «Collection of rules of transportation and tariffs on railway transport» N6 1998)

1. delivery Times for goods, as well as empty wagons belonging to the shipper, consignee or leased by them, are calculated at the railway station of departure based on the distance at which the freight fee is calculated, taking into account the railway directions in which the goods are transported.
Incomplete days are considered full days when calculating the delivery time of goods. Estimated time & mdash; Moscow.
Terms of delivery of goods transported within the Russian Federation, as well as empty wagons belonging to the shipper, consignee or leased by them, are determined based on the following norms of daily mileage of the car in kilometers for the entire route:

1.1.  when transporting goods at the speed of wagon, container and small shipments, depending on the distance of transportation:

Delivery times for empty wagons belonging to the shipper, consignee or leased by them are calculated according to the norms of the daily mileage of the wagon for carriage shipments.

The list of railway routes used for high-speed cargo transportation is published in the Collection of rules for transportation and tariffs for railway transport.
The speed of cargo transportation is selected and specified in the railway transport invoice (hereinafter referred to as the invoice) by the shipper. If these goods can only be transported at high speed, the shipper must specify this speed.

Article 20 of the Federal law «Transport Charter of Railways of the Russian Federation».

1.3.  Routes (sending routes) and container trains regardless of the distance of transportation & mdash; 550 km per day.

1.4. Animals transported by routes are 450 km per day.

1.5.  Animals transported in single wagons and groups of wagons, & mdash; according to the norms of daily mileage for wagon shipments.

2. the calculation of the delivery period starts from 24 hours of the day when the cargo is accepted for transportation, indicated on the waybill in the calendar stamp of the railway station and the receipt for receiving the cargo.
The date of expiration of the cargo delivery period is indicated by the railway station of departure in the receipt issued to the shipper for receiving the cargo.

If the cargo to be sent from public places is delivered to the railway station of departure earlier than the day appointed for its reception, the delivery time of the cargo is calculated from 24 hours of the day on which this cargo is accepted for transportation.
The railway station in the invoice makes a mark in the column «Loading is assigned & hellip; day … month».

3. delivery Times for goods for which individual wagons are provided, including shipments in groups of wagons, are calculated based on the daily mileage standards established for wagon shipments.
When transporting more than one shipment of goods to more than one railway station in one carriage, the delivery time is calculated based on the daily mileage standards established for small shipments.

4. when transporting goods by sender routes, the delivery time of goods is calculated based on the daily mileage rate established for route shipments. These terms are calculated:

4.1.  for direct routes loaded by the shipper at one railway station of departure to one railway station of destination, & mdash; based on the daily mileage rate established for route shipments, for the entire distance of transportation;

4.2. for sending routes sent to railway stations of spraying (disbanding), & mdash; separately for the distance from the railway station of departure to the railway station of spraying (disbanding), & mdash; based on the daily mileage rate established for route shipments, and separately from the railway station of spraying (disbanding) to the railway station of destination —; based on the daily mileage standards set for wagon shipments, the remaining distance of transportation is considered to be the standard range zone.
